Icons Travel Journal

We have laptops, smart phones, and pda's all of which come with numerous different bits of software for taking notes or ideas. All lauded for their portability and convenience. But there is nothing more portable and immediate than a simple paper notebook. For years I have carried one with me always having something on hand just in case some idea needs to be recorded or I need to communicate something best left to a sketch. The feel of paper just can't be reproduced by a machine and it needs no batteries.

Pay homage to your inner geak with this Travel Journal which features two computer icons, a suitcase and an airplane, in a lenticular element on the cover; other familiar icons appear on end pages and as accents throughout the journal. The icons are the work of Susan Kare whose pioneering work for Apple in early versions of their operating system have made dog chow lovers of us all. "Designed on a minimalist grid of pixels and constructed with mosaic-like precision, her icons communicate their functions immediately and memorably, with a wit and style hitherto unseen in screen graphics." The Icons Travel Journal is about $4.99US. An unlined versions is available as well.
