Social networking boom for mobiles

The number of people using their mobile phones to access social networking sites such as Facebook and Bebo and keep in constant touch with their friends has rocketed this year, according to new research.

I spend far more time on Facebook and Twitter via my mobile than my desktop or laptop web browser. It's an activity that fits into idle moments very well. With unlimited data and a 3.5G, the experience is only limited (slightly) by the size of my mobiles screen.
